נזייתא

נִזְיָיתָאf. pl. (cmp. זוּעַ, a. זֵיתָא I, II) beer in the process of brewing, brewage. Ab. Zar.31b. Pes.20a וסימנך נ׳ and the mnemonical word (for remembering the order of the objects named) is the brewing process (‘vessel, ‘eatable (dates), ‘liquid). Ib. 113a לבי נ׳ רהוט Ar. a. Ms. M. 2 (ed. סודנא) run to the brewery, v. חֲלוּז. Succ.20b חזו לנִזְיָאתָא they (the mats) are fit for covering up the brewing vat. Keth.6a, a. e., v. מְסוֹכְרָיָא. B. Kam.35a פתקיה (פסקיה) לנ׳וכ׳ (= לבי נ׳) he burst the vat open and drank the beer, and was cured.
